Immune Health FAQs
How can I boost my immune health?
The best thing we can do for our immunity is focus on the key pillars to good health being sleep, stress, nutrition & exercise. To further support your immune system, you can take supplements for key ingredients such as vitamin C, vitamin D and zinc.
What vitamins are good for the immune system?
Vitamin C, zinc and vitamin D support your immune system day-to-day and help you build resilience ahead of cold & flu season. When you’re sick, potent combination formulas can provide relief from symptoms and get you feeling better sooner. Andrographis, ashwagandha, Siberian ginseng, echinacea and medicinal mushrooms (such as Reishi & Shiitake) can help you fight common cold symptoms.
What are the common cold symptoms?
There are 5 symptoms of the common cold being sore throat, coughs, fever, fatigue and phlegm or mucous. Some people may also experience headaches, sneezing, red or itchy eyes and a runny or congested nose. Immune Defence has been formulated to relieve the 5 common cold symptoms so you can feel better sooner.
What’s the difference between cold and flu?
Despite these terms being used interchangeably, a ‘cold’ and the ‘flu’ are VERY different in 3 main ways: symptoms, duration & severity.
Common Cold
Onset gradually, usually resolve within 7 to 10 days, and are milder in intensity with symptoms such as sore throat, coughs, runny nose, phlegm & fatigue.
Influenza (‘Flu’)
Onset quickly, typically last 1-2 weeks, and are more severe in intensity leading to risks of complications (i.e. pneumonia). Symptoms include more severe forms of those experienced during a cold, often also characterised by a fever, shaking chills, muscle & body aches, and a ‘hacking’ cough.
If you suspect you have the flu, it is best to seek medical advice from your trusted healthcare professional.
