Metagenics products containing Andrographis are no longer available for purchase from Metagenics website

Metagenics takes the safety of consumers and patients seriously and adheres to the requirements and recommendations of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), Australia’s government regulator for therapeutic goods.

Why can I no longer buy Metagenics products containing Andrographis from the Metagenics website?

Following the TGA’s decision to remove Andrographis from the Permissible Ingredients Determination, new medicines containing Andrographis have not been eligible for listing on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) since 17 September 2026. Metagenics is continuing to engage with the TGA regarding implementation of that decision and the appropriate regulatory response for existing listed medicines.

Although the affected products remain listed on the ARTG, Metagenics voluntarily ceased supplying the products identified below on Friday 25 September 2026 as a precautionary measure while discussions with the TGA continue.

  • Metagenics Immune Active NK
  • Metagenics Gut InflamX

Should the regulatory position change, or further guidance be provided by the TGA that impacts our current position, Metagenics will review its approach and communicate any changes as soon as possible.

Talk to your Healthcare Professional

If you are taking any of the listed products above, consider whether you should keep using the product and you should talk to your healthcare professional if you are unsure what to do. Seek urgent medical attention or call 000 immediately if you or someone else experiences symptoms consistent with a severe allergic reaction, including difficulty breathing, swelling of the tongue or throat, wheezing, dizziness or collapse.
