Pregnancy Care Advanced is scientifically designed to provide key nutritional support during preconception, pregnancy and lactation; including high strength iodine, vitamin K2, absorption friendly materials, activated B vitamins, lutein and choline.
Adults: Take 1 tablet twice daily with food for at least one month before conception, during pregnancy and lactation, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
Advise your doctor of any medicine you take during pregnancy, particularly in your first trimester.
Vitamin and mineral supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
This product contains selenium which is toxic in high doses. A daily dose of 150 micrograms for adults of selenium from dietary supplements should not be exceeded. When trying to conceive and during the first trimester of pregnancy, folic acid helps to prevent neural tube defects (NTD) such as spina bifida and/or anencephaly.
Do not exceed the stated dose except on medical advice. If you have had a baby with a neural tube defect/spina bifida, seek medical advice. Stop taking this medication if you experience tingling, burning or numbness and see your healthcare practitioner as soon as possible. [Contains vitamin B6]

A multivitamin containing folate, iodine and vitamin B12 with other nutrients is recommended to be taken as part of planning for a healthy pregnancy. For specific recommendations relating to your circumstances, speak with your healthcare professional.
Taking two tablets daily, Metagenics Pregnancy Care Advanced provides most key nutrients for pregnancy, fully meeting the RDI for iodine, zinc, most B vitamins, vitamin C, biotin, molybdenum, beta-carotene, and chromium. Iron and folate are supplied within 20% of the RDI and can be met through diet. Selenium, magnesium, manganese, choline, vitamin K, and vitamin A are below the RDI but can be obtained from whole foods like nuts, leafy greens, avocado, meat, and dairy. Beyond these nutrients, supporting vitamin D levels and omega-3 intake may also be relevant for your unique circumstances. For personalised advice, consult your healthcare practitioner.
Key nutrients in Pregnancy Care Advanced, including folic acid, vitamin B12, choline, and iodine, support healthy brain and nervous system development in your baby during pregnancy.
There are some medications may negatively interact with iodine, calcium vitamin D and vitamin K within Pregnancy Care Advanced. It is important to consult with your healthcare professional to determine what supplementation is beneficial for you.
Pregnancy Care Advanced Formula contains vitamin D sourced from lanolin (from sheep’s wool). While this means it is not suitable for vegans, it may be suitable for vegetarians.
Store Pregnancy Care Advanced in a cool, dry place below 30°C, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Always check the packaging for the expiry date. Avoid using the product past its expiry date to ensure safety and effectiveness.
